Bikram jeet Das, born on 23rd march 1984 in a musical family of Kolkata, began his
rigorous training under his father, Shri Ganesh das, in Rudra Veena, Surbahar and Sitar.
His Grandfather Late Pandit Sripati Charan Das was the student of famous sitarist
Ustad Enayat Khan. Shri Ganesh das was trained under the guidance of
Ustad Vilayat Khan.
He is among the very few young Indian artists trained in three Indian classical
instruments that are too rarely heard and have become almost rare... RUDRA-VEENA,
SURBAHAR and SITAR.
Bikram jeet Das is a disciple of Ustad Asad ali Khan
of New-Delhi, an exponent of the Khandarbani - one of the four schools (banis ) of
dhrupad, and represents Jaipur Beenkar Gharana.
