Subrahmanya Hegde started learning Sitar and Rudraveena under his uncle

(Desciple of Late
Pt Bindumadhav Pathak Hubli-Bande Alikhan Gharana.
Later on he learnt from Pt J Vasantakumar for sometime and then he learnt from Late Pt Yogaraj Naik
(Desciple of Ustad Shahid Parvez) for 15 years till his unexpected death in 2021.
At present he has continued his learning under Pt Avaneendra Sheolikar (Desciple of Pt Bimalendu Mukherjee.
Subrahmanya Hegde is settled in Bangalore for last 15 years.
